This page describes the rules the site runs by today.
Listings
Anyone may submit a business, and the details come from the business itself. Every submission is read here before it appears, but that is a check for obvious problems: whether it looks like a real business, whether it is already listed, and whether the entry is complete. It is not a check that the business is what it says it is. A listing may be declined, or removed later, at any time.
We do not verify businesses
The information in a listing comes from the business itself. We do not confirm that a business is registered, holds an ABN, holds any licence, qualification or accreditation it mentions, carries insurance, or is any good at what it does. Nothing on this site has been checked against a public register. A listing is not a recommendation, an endorsement, or a sign that we vouch for the business in any way. Anyone dealing with a business found here should satisfy themselves about it first, exactly as they would with a business found anywhere else.
Accuracy
Details go out of date, and once a listing is published we do not check it again. Some of the wording is written here from material the business supplied, rather than in the business's own words. If something in a listing is wrong, tell us and we will correct it or take it down.
Removal
A business can ask for its listing to be removed at any time, and it will be.
